What we have done to date…

2003:

CAFE module ‘Knowing God better’ was run in Changi prison, men’s section.

2005:

A neighbourhood group started CAFE.

2006:

The CaFE team helped train neighbourhood leaders of the Church of Our Lady of Perpetual Succour to run the program.

2 December: The CaFE team was invited to Miri, Sarawak, to give a weekend presentation and training session on how to run CaFE to 80 participants from Kuching, Miri, Brunei and Ipoh. Participants were sent with support from their respective bishops. As of 2009, CaFE is run in 3 parishes in Kuching and 1 parish in Ipoh.

2007:

In April, the CaFE team trained parishioners of the Church of St Anthony to run the program at neighbourhood group level.

2008:

From 1 August to 19 September, the module ‘Knowing God Better‘ was run at Church of St Bernadette.

2009:

From 13 March  to 17 April, the ACPT team led by Gwen Pinto conducted the module ‘Knowing God Even Better’ at Church of St Bernadette; 5 sessions.

On 29 May and 26 June, the ACPT team gave two ‘CaFE Experience‘ sessions at Church of St Bernadette.

On 12 July, the ACPT team held a CaFE Workshop at St Mary of the Angels (SMOTA) to introduce CaFE and how it could be run in their parish.

On 9 August, the ACPT did a Facilitators’ Workshop where among the usual talks and hands on sessions on how to facilitate, a skit on “The Good, the Bad and the Ugly” was presented.

From 1 September to 6 October, the first module of “Knowing God Better” was run at SMOTA.

From 25 September to 20 November, the ACPT ran the module  ‘Exploring the Catholic Church’ at Church of St Bernadette.
